What’s Happening in 2017

Summer Racing Series

“The Ring” series is going well with 5 races completed so far and a return to racing this weekend at the Gnangara circuit. There is a full racing calendar from here until the end of March with the Club Criterium Championships scheduled for April 9 in Smeaton Way.

The racing has been supported well by club members, those participating have been very impressed with the quality of racing, atmosphere and organisation. Get training and get into it if you haven’t already.

Time Trial Series

The Summer Time Trial Series is well underway with 8 Time Trials already completed. The events are held on Wednesday evenings at the Hopelands Rd course. If you like inflicting pain on yourself, or just looking for some hard training, Time Trials are for you!

Nominations on the line.

Planning for the Winter Racing Series is well underway, and the provisional calendar is below. The aim of the calendar is to race twice per month through winter, but to also allow for Club Members to attend the State Open races such as the Collie To Donnybrook and Return. Social Rides – Events

You would have noticed that the Club is now running Social / Training rides on Sundays when we are not racing. There have already been 2 rides completed and attendance has been great. The idea is to build these rides and continue to offer more to our members.

Rides will happen most Sundays, stay tuned to the Club Website, Facebook Page, or even join the PDCC Club on STRAVA for regular updates. ALL WELCOME!

When the Club is racing, it is planned to conduct social rides to the racing, and to set up a Marque at the races to support club members that are racing, and create a club atmosphere. Look out for the PDCC Marque at Gnangara this coming Sunday.

Club Social events planning is currently underway. The club would like to organise a couple of “Club Nights” throughout the year when significant international races are being held. Stay tuned for more details on this, Paris-Roubaix and the Tour de France are focus events at the moment. Stay tuned.

If you have any questions regarding what the club is doing, or you can help the club committee in any way, please direct them to one of the committee members.
