Group Rides

PDCC Group Rides

Peel Districts Groups rides will occur on Sundays when the Cycling Club is not racing. When the club has an “away” race, a social ride will be organised to attend and watch the quality racing and support the PDCC members that are giving it a go. These rides are ALL-INCLUSIVE social rides and we encourage non-members to participate and enjoy the benefits of cycling within a bunch.

The Sunday courses are a loop course starting and finishing at the Steel Tree Café in Baldivis. There are a number of rides to choose from. Please understand your own ability, and if you are not sure, feel free to ask more experienced riders.

The idea of the rides is to conduct some group training, work on your skills riding in a bunch, enjoy each other’s company, and above all have a coffee together at the end.

All the rides are designed to be finished by 0930 and arrival should be slightly staggered to ensure a smooth flow at the café. There will be a great social atmosphere at the end of the ride, and dubious actions are encouraged to be discussed – who knows there may be prizes.

Come along with a well maintained bike, and a great attitude. Please ensure you have enough food and water to sustain yourself throughout the ride.
