The PDCC committee held its monthly meeting on Tuesday 11Feb14 at the Gary Holland centre in Rockingham. Items discussed were;
- As previously advised to members, Club Vice President Kelly Gray recently resigned creating a vacant VP position. Committee member Mark Glorie offered to perform the duties of Vice President in the interim. (In the absence of Club President Steve Dodd, Mark then chaired the meeting).
- A replacement committee member was then required. A quick phone call to Ryan Wilmot saw him volunteer to be the club’s newest committee member. Welcome Ryan and thanks for volunteering!
- The need for additional race courses was discussed including variations to the Motorplex course. Club members are invited to suggest alternative Criterium and/or Road Race courses to any committee member. An “Out and Back” course would be considered if suitable.
- The recently ordered new look club clothing is expected to be shipped from 20th February. The long supply time is due to the Christmas break.
- The committee are looking at rewriting the constitution in reference to eligibility to take part in a club championship race. Specifically, the requirement to have raced a minimum number of times in that season prior to lining up at a championship race. The draft amendment will be put to members for approval once drafted.
- A volunteer roster for marshals is to be drawn up. Racing club members (especially) will be asked to nominate their preferred dates.
As always, club members are encouraged to discuss PDCC related concerns they might have with committee members with a view to improving the club.
