With only two E grade racers they were combined with D grade. A very fast start saw the group splinter and five D graders at the front of the race and the other riders spread around the course. In the end Mari Turner outlasted Keely Bunton to win E grade. From the leading five in D grade it was Greg Buchann first, Jason Kilgour second and Patryk Szczpkowski third, with Cathy Bush the only women to survive.
C grade started slowly lapping slower than D grade, before the pace slowly picked up, shedding riders. Most of the starters contested the bunch sprint which was won by Jake Bozich with Samuel Paulin second and Peter Ridley third. Belinda Alcock was the best women finisher,
The start in B was frantic, within two laps the bunch had splintered, with riders spread across the course. There was a group of seven riders at the front, and that is how it stayed until three laps to go. Anton Kharuk and Michael Tapscott attacked, go a break and stayed away. With Kharuk outsprinting Tapscott to take the win, Clinton Carlyle taking the sprint from the chasing group for third. It was a battle between Coupland sisters for the women’s honours. After the initial chaos, Mackenzie found herself in a group of three riders that worked together and finish well ahead of her sister Savannah, who spent most the race battling the winds alone.
A grade also started fast, losing a couple of riders before falling into a pattern. A rider would attack, stay away for lap or two and the bunch would chase them down. The longer the race went, the longer the lone attacker would stay away. With two laps to go it looked like Mark Claydon had a chance. With a lap to go Claydon still had a small lead. The bunch caught him and on the final climb of the day Tristan Nash attacked and raced away to take the win, ahead of Kye Bonser and Austin Webb.
