Beckett Takes GOLD in Glasgow

Another PDCC member taking the world by storm is Tian Beckett, who overnight won GOLD in Glasgow at the Junior Track World Championships – U19 Women’s Team Sprint, along with teammate Tenille Falappi. Well done Tian and good luck with the rest of the schedule!

Emily Selected For Junior Worlds

Following her success this year in taking out the Oceania U19 time trial in March, and more recently becoming Australian U19 road race champion, Emily McRedmond has been selected to represent Australia at the Junior Road World Championships in Italy this September. The club wishes you the best of luck Em!

Collie Donnybrook Classic – Entries Open

Entries are now open for the Collie Donnybrook Classic on the 17th August, hosted by Collie Cycle Club. Space has been left in the PDCC calendar, so club members are encouraged to support this great event. See the Cycling WA listing or Event Flyer for more information and registration.

Blackspot Accident Reporting

The club has heard about a few accidents at the railway crossing on Kwinana Beach Road, shown below: View Larger Map If you’ve had an accident on the bike which you believe was caused/worsened by bad infrastructure, send a message to Steve Dodd. Often it’s a case of the squeaky wheel getting the grease!

Peel Junior Tour Cake Stall

Because the race is being held in a relatively remote location we need to supply food and drinks for competitors and supporters. We are seeking  Volunteers to man the canteen to sell cakes, sandwiches, pies, coffee & tea etc. and we are looking for donations of foodstuff such as cakes, sandwiches, pies, lollies.
