The cooler weather was accompanied by a strong southerly which meant fast speeds on the back straight. However, the uphill finish at the Motorplex was into a solid headwind, which made tough finish suited to the strongest riders.

With the juniors it looked like Sam Trinaedes had it won, until fast finishing Lowen Ferry snatched the win on the line with Todd Brown third.

The smaller than usual E grade bunch held together for the whole race, with Zoe Stolton outsprinting Phil Edwards by the smallest of margins for the win, with Joshua Brown third.

In C grade Michael Vreeken attacked early and managed to stay away for the whole race, winning by 15 seconds. With Dylan White taking out the bunch sprint for second and recently promoted Dave Porter taking third by a narrow margin.

A and B grades where combined, due to the low numbers in A. In the past the A grade riders have usually riden conservatively when combined with B grade. Today, the B grade riders were relieved when after five laps of constant attacking and counter attacking, when the 3 A grade riders separated and were off the front.

A grade ended in another close finish that saw Wade Longworth win by a couple of centimeters from Ryan Hamill, with Ryan Willmot third. B grade was another bunch sprint won by Michael Reeves, with John Buonvecchi second and Darren Freeman third.

The final race of the day was D grade, which saw Eddie Wojcik attack early and be pursued by a bunch of dozen riders for most of the race. With less than ten minutes to race Ben Griggs attempted to bridge the gap, causing the bunch to react. Within half a lap there was six riders on the front, with everybody else trailing behind. The sprint finish saw Phil Devenish take the win from Griggs and Tom Power third.
