The PDCC committee held it’s monthly meeting on Tuesday 10Feb15 at the Gary Holland centre in Rockingham. Some of the items discussed were;
- Sponsorship is being sought for the proposed Open Men’s and possibly Women’s Criterium events to be held during Bike Week. It is intended to hold the race/s in Rockingham on 15Mar15 with streets closed over a two hour period.
- Fraser Hanlan and Justin Brown provided the committee with an update on the progress of their bike awareness training sessions held on Tuesday evenings. The sessions are well attended with 14 turning up at a recent Smeaton Way gathering. The interest shown here appears to have resulted in additional numbers racing on Sunday mornings with either the Juniors or E grade. The intention is to advertise training times and venues on the club website to encourage new riders.
- Volunteers are required to assist Tony to put out and/pick up the signs prior to and after the races.
- This Sunday some riders will be relocated from their usual grades (following results from previous races) to better balance the grades.
- New courses continue to be pursued with the Wandi circuit unlikely to be used next year.
- The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 10 Mar15 at 1830.
