It turned out to be another great day of racing today. The wind was not too bad from the side of the road, I am sure those that raced would have a different opinion though.
Two races in one day, and some really great racing. Congratulations to all of the juniors that raced today, it is great to see such a great field turn out. The results for today are here – https://results.sporthive.com/events/PC1790175
We could not believe the Scratch field we saw for the President Handicap, and clearly the Handicapper under estimated their ability. The Scratch group set a blistering pace and right on the bell had pulled in a full lap and a bit advantage, and hit the front. It was then left to the big hitters to fight out the sprint with JP Van Der Merwe narrowly beating Stephen Hall (0.012), and Calum Milne finished third. These three take out both the winning prizes, and the fastest times.
Adelia Neethling finished first in the women, followed by Cassia Boglio, and Joanne Demmer third.

Congratulations to everyone that raced today. It was great watching. As always, a big thank you to all of our volunteers today. It was a very long day with almost 4 hours of racing. We have a wonderful team, and we simply cannot do it without them.
Our next event is another handicap, our hilly version in North Dandalup on 22 August, 50km of killer climbs. We hope to see you there after the Collie Donnybrook next week. Good luck to everyone competing in the premier handicap event in WA. I hope to see you down there.
